Join us in supporting Edward Carter
in his half marathon challenge
to raise funds for the PLAN charity
We are very proud to support Edward Carter (a SMART Team Manager) in his challenge to complete the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon. This fund raising event will take place in London on the 12th October 2008, and Edward's sponsorship will raise much needed funds for Plan, SMART's chosen charity.
21-year-old Edward is a keen wake boarder and enjoys surfing, running and generally keeping fit, however this will be his first ever half marathon, so he is following a strict training programme to prepare for running the 13.1 miles. Heralded as a perfect challenge for anyone who loves running, the half marathon route will encompass the four Royal Parks of central London and the capital's most iconic landmarks.
What is Plan?
Plan is very close to our hearts here at SMART and it is one of the largest child-centred community development organisations in the world. If you would like further information about the tremendous work they do and how we support them then simply go to Plan charity.
Why should I sponsor Edward?
We'll be keeping visitors to our website posted with Edward's progress and featuring any companies who sponsor him. Additionally we anticipate generating local press coverage leading up to and after the event. Becoming a sponsor gives you the opportunity to take advantage of this PR while raising funds for a worthy cause.
