Since holding his first directorship at the age of 21, Simon has always had a passion for creating and growing successful companies. This philosophy is what dynamically drives the teams at SMART, where everyone shares his enthusiasm for delivering the best possible results for our clients. His valuable business expertise is supported by a proven track record and commercial achievements. Simon actively works with SMART's management team to deliver successful campaigns, as he understands what is needed for a company to grow from initial start-up into a £multi-million turnover success.

Heather Carter is a Member of the Institute of Sales Marketing Management. She has a practical hands-on approach to business development, and has helped companies of all sizes (including FTSE and Fortune 500) to grow and prosper. Heather uses multiple communication channels and 'Prospect Finder' tools which can be applied to a diverse range of industry sectors within the UK; all focussed on delivering customer databases of real value for our clients. As a business, SMART was recognised by LTSB to offer a commercial marketing service that would add value to their UK operations and achieve business growth. The LTSB Prospect Finder Solution was successfully managed by Heather, enabling LTSB SME/LME business customers to outsource all or part of their sales and marketing activity to SMART.

David has played a pivotal role in project management for over 7 years, initially supporting private sector clients and then moving on to managing a thriving public sector division 5 years ago. David came to SMART from a senior management position at BT where he was responsible for both inbound and outbound call centre teams.

Caroline has overall responsibility for the operational running of SMART. This includes liaising with IT to ensure that the infrastructure enables all personnel to perform their roles to an optimum level.
Caroline has 11 years experience at SMART, with 8 of those being in a management capacity. She has gained a vast knowledge of a diverse customer base, enabling her to oversee projects with a high level of understanding both of the client’s needs and of our organisational requirements. A member of the Chartered Institute of Management since 2003, Caroline is also our internal ‘Investors in People’ champion and is currently taking responsibility for the implementation of ISO 9001.

Simon joined SMART in February 2010. His marketing experience spans small companies and FTSE100 organisations alike, and encompasses a range of sectors from IT and Telco to consumer durables. Simon’s approach is a combination of strategic planning with pragmatic, ‘shirtsleeves’ delivery. Crucially, Simon has taken advantage of SMART’s services from a client perspective, whilst at Kingston Communications, Cable and Wireless and Cellhire.

Robert Evans came from a primarily retail sales background when he started work at SMART in 1999 as a telemarketing executive. His promotion to training manager in 2002 soon followed. Robert's experience in sales, both as a telemarketeer and a project manager, gives him a unique perspective and insight into what training strategies work best. His key role is devoted to training members of the SMART team using methods that support the individual, with the ultimate goal of becoming 'the best they can be.' Robert actively encourages executives to get involved in the call rather than read off a script; to represent the client as a 'real' person and thrive whilst developing strong business relationships.
